About Me

I am a private practice Speech-Language Pathologist and have been practicing for more than 20 years. For the past 10 years I have dedicated myself to specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. I have been trained in both level 1 and 2 of PROMPT©, the Kaufman Speech Praxis approach. I have consulted on cases with many professionals in the field, including Pam Marshalla, David Hammer, and Nancy Kaufman. I completed advanced training in apraxia in 2012 and was awarded the designation of “CASANA recognized for advanced training and expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech” (https://www.apraxia-kids.org/location/canada/alberta/). I maintain a private practice from my home and provide both direct treatment as well as differential diagnosis for childhood apraxia of speech and consultation to families and other speech language pathologists in the community. My husband is a psychology professor at the University of Calgary and we have two sons and two grandsons.
